Laplace assistant · Updated September 23, 2026

Laplace is an assistant powered by OpenClaw and associated with ButterflyFlapped. This policy describes its connected services and AI processing.

Connected account information

Laplace connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft OneDrive with the account holder’s authorization. Depending on the permissions granted and the task requested, information accessed may include email messages and attachments, calendar events, and files and their contents. The Google consent screen shows the Google permissions requested.

How information is used

Information from connected accounts is used to carry out assistant tasks, such as finding or summarizing messages, working with calendar information, and retrieving or summarizing files. Actions available to the assistant depend on its configuration and the permissions granted.

Local processing and external AI providers

The primary model, Qwen, runs locally. OpenAI and Anthropic are configured as fallback providers. When an external fallback is used, prompts and relevant task context may be sent to that provider. This context may include information retrieved from Gmail, Google Calendar, or OneDrive. Processing is therefore not guaranteed to remain entirely on the local computer.

External providers process information according to the terms and data controls applicable to the configured account or API service. This policy does not promise that external providers retain no data or that all account types have identical data-use settings.

Storage and retention

Account information remains in its original connected service. Copies included in assistant conversations, saved outputs, memory, or logs may also be retained depending on the OpenClaw configuration. This deployment does not specify a fixed automatic deletion period here. External-provider retention depends on the service and account settings in use.

Access and deletion controls

You can revoke Google access through Google Account connections and manage Microsoft access through your Microsoft account. Revoking authorization stops future access through that authorization; it does not automatically erase information already saved in assistant history, files, logs, or external services. For questions about retained information or to request deletion of locally retained copies, contact the operator below.
